Companion Care Needed For My Loved One In Columbia

About who needs care: This is for my brother who has been on Social Security Disability since the 1990s for depression and seizures. He is moving into his own apartment from a co-living situation, and he mostly just needs a regular housekeeping visit. . . maybe every other week? I feel he will need someone with some caregiving skills just to work with him. I live in San Antonio, but I will be in Columbia Jan. 13-17, and I am hoping to set up some sort of schedule then. He is very devoted to the Elks Lodge and spends a lot of time there. He cannot manage money well, does not drive, but does manage to keep himself fed. About the care needs: Patience! My brother feels he functions in the world as well as anyone else and can resist assistance. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
