About who needs care: Conner is 27 years old and is intellectually disabled. Conner is a happy and loving person who enjoys being around people. We are working towards independent living and the skills necessary for him to succeed. Those skills include meal prep, skills to maintain a clean an orderly home and proper hygiene skills. Conner participates in several peer groups in the Bristol area such as Open Arms, Rivers Way, and the YMCA. He likes activities that involves interaction with people. The typical day would begin with brushing teeth, dressing properly, and making the bed. Meal preparation for the day and home maintenance such as laundry and dishes would follow. Peer groups and activities are what conner looks forward to most and typically happen each day. This is 30 -40 hour per week and long term position. About the care needs: Conner likes a happy person who is kind. Experience working with the intellectual disabled is a plus. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
