About who needs care: High levels of anxiety and fear. Very intelligent but struggles to find words or remember what she wanted to say. She has an ostomy she can no longer take care of by her self 100%. She will need help changing the ring and bathing. She has COPD and wears oxygen. She watches a good bit of Disney and has lost track of hobbies over the years. She used to handle everything but now cannot and fears being institutionalized or further abused. She has C-PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Recently began hospice at home due to copd. She wants someone around that she feels doesnt have an agenda and can listen and talk and help her without being too overbearing or causing too much anxiety. About the care needs: Someone that understands that you didnt have to be boots-on-the-ground to be a true veteran. She doesnt need to be talked down to and needs someone that doesnt spend most of their time talking with her husband in the other room or pushing her to do things she really doesnt want to do. She has expressed some interest in playing cards, used to read a good bit Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
