About who needs care: I am searching for someone to help care for my uncle who is turning 88. He fell and broke his hip recently. In addition, his son lives with him and is also in need of care. He is 67 and a recent amputee. They are unable to care for each other anymore and the rest of the family live over 200 miles away. They both need assistance with food preparation, daily cleaning, hygiene, transportation, etc. I will be traveling down this next week to assess the situation myself to determine their exact needs. About the care needs: I would like someone who is patient, as my uncle and cousin both can be stubborn. Someone who isn't afraid to do what is necessary when it needs to be done. Understanding that both men have been bachelors for quite some time. Someone who can adapt to different situation and respond appropriately and quickly. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
