About who needs care: My wife has had two strokes, one on 11/11/23 and one on 7/7/24. She is currently confined to her hospital bed as she is not yet able to sit to stand and transfer to her wheelchair which means she is unable to use the toilet currently. Her left side mobility is affected from her first stroke, and her speech, language and comprehension is affected from her second stroke. I would be looking for support in the mornings with waking her, changing and cleaning her and using our Hoyer Lift to put her into her wheelchair and to work with/sit with her at our kitchen table on days when in home therapy is not scheduled. About the care needs: Someone who has experience working with stroke patients, is very understanding and patient, has strength to assist with turning and repositioning. Can be male or female. My wife's hobbies are traveling, anything having to do with makeup (we have an entire bedroom converted to a makeup room), collecting Starbucks tumblers and Stanley cups as well as perfumes, shoes and pocketbooks. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
