About the job
My wife, Laura, has MS and is confined to a wheelchair. We need hands-on care for a day or two between May 5-15. Looking for coverage from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We own a condo in NMB but only get there 3 times per year until I retire at the end of 2026, and will need help each visit. Once retired, we will need a more permanent caregiver 2-3 times per week. Laura is a kind and friendly person, easy to get along with but requires assistance with all daily needs including bathing, toileting, hair care, food prep and eating. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, experience required, particularly with transfers. Some strength is necessary because Laura cannot stand on her own for a pivot/transfer. She enjoys reading, playing games on her iPad, and watching TV but needs some assistance with all of that as her hands are shaky.
