About who needs care: My wife has fronto-temporal dementia. I'm going in for an all-day medical procedure in Loris requiring anesthesia. She doesn't drive and I'm not allowed to drive immediately after the procedure. Some details have not been decided, so I'm not sure about if I will be able to leave later in the afternoon or will need to spend the night. I'm looking for someone to simply be in our condo with her during the day. She doesn't need help with anything but dinner (if I can't get back early enough in the evening, or need to stay overnight). She keeps herself busy with jigsaw puzzles, games on the computer. She is pretty easy to take care of. About the care needs: Someone friendly and patient. No. No. She may allow someone to help with her jigsaw puzzle. She doesn't play games. She cannot listen to a book being read to her, or watch TV, etc. (The TV can be on unless she decides she wants to sing along with her music player. I usually turn the TV off if she's in the mood to sing.) Services needed include: companionship.
