About who needs care: My Mother Elizabeth was hit by a car while walking about 4 years ago & suffered a traumatic brain injury. She has been doing pretty good but has had several falls this year & recently just returned from the hospital . I am her son and full time caregiver and live with her but I do have to work part time. She now requires someone to be with her while I work just to ensure she doesnt fall. About the care needs: Were looking for a compassionate, patient, and attentive caregiver to assist my mother, who has a brain injury and experiences significant restlessness, impulsivity, and mobility challenges. She needs someone who can provide supervision, redirection, and gentle encouragement to help her stay safe and comfortable. Experience with cognitive impairments, memory care, or behavioral challenges is a plus. The ideal caregiver should be calm under pressure, observant, and emotionally supportive. My mom is sweet and friendly but has difficulty sitting still and needs someone who can engage her positively while ensuring she doesnt overexert herself. It would be great if they enjoy talking, maybe light crafting, or going for short supervised walks when possible. A background in working with patients with dementia, brain injuries, or psychiatric care would be helpful. Consistency, dependability, and a good sense of humor would be a big plus. Services needed include: companionship, and mobility assistance.
