Part-time - Midday Companion(s) For A 80 Year Old - West Ashely

About who needs care: my mother in law. She is 80. She is has some memory issues (23 on last score). She has mobility issues - uses walker and cane. When she moves more, the issues are better. She is kind. She needs assistance bathing. We are looking for someone to add structure and activities to the middle of the day. If they want to go places, that is fine. She needs to walk. She needs support with housekeeping. She needs company. She needs support taking basic care of herself. We (her son and I) are all she has for support. About the care needs: Kind, Gentle. Humor. Not too loud. Patient. Willing to guide her to accomplish goals set. Willing to tell her no to extra food - extra consumption is a problem. Willing to listen to her and have conversations. Willing to walk around her apartment complex. Willing to guide her through simple home exercises. Willing to communicate with my husband and I as to when more care is needed or if they are noticing particular problems. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
