About who needs care: He has Alzheimer's disease, is a recent widower, and has no regular friends in the community. He is ex-military and career law enforcement. He likes working outside, but not in the cold. He's not supposed to be driving anymore but still wants to. He's a picky eater and cannot cook. He gets confused easily and his short-term memory is almost gone. He repeats things throughout the day. He is very hard of hearing. He has a couple of big, goofy dogs. About the care needs: Someone who is tolerant and patient. They should know how to work with dementia patients. They should be able to speak loudly and repeat things as necessary. Liking Westerns and action movies is a plus. Services needed include: transportation, medication organization, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
