About who needs care: I would say mom is in the middle stages of dementia. She has zero short term memory. She takes 4 meds in the A. M. and three in the P. M. Mom wears depends. Mom likes game shows, bingo, checkers, and filling in outlined drawings with colored pencils. Mom has the gift of gab lol. Mom is stable on even surfaces, but I hold her hand everywhere else when walking. Mom is a loving, caring retired L. P. N. The ideal day would consist of all her interests and adding some structured exercise. Mom is a bit food obsessed and eats very slow, (maybe it is boredom, or me being underqualified to create a bit more structure?) About the care needs: Having the gift of gab too. Being calm and silly and funny. Mom loves to laugh. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
