About the job
About who needs care: Karen has Multiple Sclerosis and Dementia. Karen and I have been married for 43 years. She still recognizes me and knows who I am. She is able to dress herself, bath, shower, and use the bathroom facilities on her own. She has difficulty walking but is able to get around the house. She asks the same questions over and over again. She no longer can drive, so she get's board hanging around the house. She can reheat her a cup of coffee or plate of food in the microwave ... But she forgot how to cook or make a cup of coffee. She likes TV shows such as Let's Make a Deal, Price is Right, Judge Judy, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and watching the Red Sox, Ice Hockey, Football, Tennis, I've been trying to take care of her, but it's becoming more difficult. I own my own business, so I need to work during the day. I also need to do the grocery shopping, and cook the meals. I'd like to be able to leave the house at times and not worry if she's gonna be alright About the care needs: Someone that's friendly, patient, smiles, offers Karen some companionship, maybe can cook some meals now and then, although I do enjoy cooking myself at times. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
