About who needs care: My sister-in-law needs help caring for her mom. My mother-in-law spends most of her day in her lazyboy chair. She's a wonderful woman with a quick smile & sweet disposition. A care giver would need to help with transfers, toileting, meals and general companionship. The person will need to have enough strength to help her stand (where she can support her weight) and slowly turn her to sit into her wheelchair to move from the chair to the bathroom for toileting. She's about 5'4'' and weighs about 125lbs - 135lbs. Making sure she has water and or coffee and keeping her company would be important. From conversations with my sister-in-law the number of hours needed per week right now wouldn't be huge, but we can see a time in the future where the need would be greater. The days and number of hours aren't set in stone and my sister-in-law is very flexible as long as the right person is dependable and a good communicator about any conflicts. they may have. About the care needs: Someone with experience in care giving, a friendly, patient and caring personality. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
