About who needs care: I am terminally ill with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. My main issue is pain. Pain begins when I change positions as in getting out of bed, walking to the living room. I need help preparing meals (light prep such as microwaving prepared meals), moving small things around that I need/want to access and doing laundry. I am under the care of palliative care which provides a home health aide who assists with bathing as well as a home health nurse. Basically I need someone here to do things as they crop up. I need someone between the hours of 9 and 3. There is a lot of down time too within that timeframe. My hobbies are playing folk music and being an active member of the Democratic party. About the care needs: Someone with a good sense of humor, a bit of patience, flexible. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
