About who needs care: Lives in my basement in a small apartment. Can still use a walker to get from bed to chair, but mobility is very limited. Needs help getting into and out of bed and with changing a diaper and getting dressed. Mostly personal hygiene and some light housekeeping in his area. No dementia, just very limited mobility. About the care needs: A person who can be a companion as well as help with his daily needs. Some training in how to shower someone with limited mobility (I have a shower chair), and take care of his bathroom needs. An upbeat person is important. Dad is a Christian, but the caregiver doesn't have to be a Christian, just not anti-Christian, maybe. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
