About who needs care: My dad is 73 years young and starting with memory issues - he needs personal care reminders, as well as medication reminders and one meal prep (lunch) per day. He uses a cane, but is ambulatory and can bathe himself, he just needs encouragement. He lives with my brother and sister-in-law and their family, so it's a shared household. About the care needs: Caregiver will have to be sensitive to the needs of a senior in the beginning stages of memory loss and be patient. He tends to ask the same questions over and over again but is a non-violent person. At the moment, he tends to just watch TV throughout the day and take naps. He isn't able to exercise very much due to COPD and heart failure, which leave him short of breath. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
