About who needs care: My mom has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and severe neuropathy in her right leg. She and my dad are not capable of handling this new development of neuropathy alone. Dad is independent but can not care properly for Mom. Mom needs help getting meals and meds on time, dresising at times, and companionship. 8 a.m. to early afternoon and then 5:30 to midnight is when help is most needed. Everything moves slowly depending on how she feels daily. This is a fluid situation that could change for more or less care. About the care needs: My parents are conservative, Catholic Christians, mom has been an epic cook and baker, loves her family, can be stubborn. She is struggling with some depression and anxiety currently since her health changed. Dad is an antique dealer, hunter, has trouble hearing and seeing so patience is key. They squabble which can be hard to witness but they always make up. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
