About who needs care: Healing from fractured left hip. Surgically pinned on Oct 14. Needs assistance with transferring bed to chair, some ADL's, minimal food prep. Has self-catheterized since 2016. Is currently medicated for cardiac and circulatory issues. About the care needs: A "thick-skinned" individual. Is generally cooperative and appreciative of assistance, but can deliver verbal quips that may sting. Must know how to safely transfer - he is approx. 6 ft tall, currently 175 lbs. He has a big fear of falling. No specific hobbies or interests, although he has extensive US traveling experiences, has some interest in cars and mechanical topics. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
