About who needs care: Partial dementia, has Charles Bonnet syndrome associated with macular degeneration, which causes hallucinations, especially at night, auditory, sensory and visual. It does not seem to happen during the day, but when she goes to bed at night, she sees people in her room and feels like someone is in her bed rubbing her legs she has been to a neurologist who has prescribed numerous medications but with little effect. About the care needs: My mother is an educated woman and feels most people's intelligence is beneath her. Although I'm looking for someone that would be with her during the late evening early morning hours I'm not sure that would be a big factor but if she feels they are stupid It probably would be more difficult and probably wouldn't get along. She has always had this to some degree but with her current state of mind it has enhanced them. Services needed include: companionship.
