About who needs care: My daughter J (40) has microcephaly and cerebral palsy. She is completely dependent on others to care for her. She wears diapers that need to be changed 2-3 times a day. She is tube fed and we have to lift her out of bed / carry her to bed at night time. I am going to be having hip surgery in the near future and I'm going to need help with getting her out bed in the morning, coming by to change diapers and putting her to bed at night. My family is going to help as much as they can but I am her sole caregiver and I'm trying to prepare as much as possible so I will be able to recover. She goes to school 4 days a week so some days it may not be necessary to come by during the day, or even in the morning depending on my family's help. This wont be much of an hourly position since it would be more so dropping in but we can work out a weekly rate that is generous! We will probably need someone for a few months until I am recovered enough to go back to fully taking care of her. About the care needs: Someone that genuinely enjoys caring for others. Someone ok with changing adult diapers. Someone that is able to lift 70 pounds. (For getting J in / out of bed) someone reliable and flexible. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
