About who needs care: 1.The woman is 78 yrs old. 2. She has had cancer in the past but is 100% cancer free as of now-2024. 3. She has had knee and hip surgery, right hip and knee(not 100% which knee). 4. Due to the health issues above she does see and have to go to doctors appointments. Also just regular check ups and anything else she may need to see a doctor for. SHE WILL NEED HELP TO AND FROM APPOINTMENTS and ALSO NEED SOMEONE TO DRIVE. She can still drive but due to her age she gets very tired and faint and will need someone to take her to doctors. 5. She will also need help grocery shopping and going where she needs to go. 6. She only needs help in the morning noon hours. 730-8am-2-3pm. Helping her with her daily morning routine. She can still move fine and is very quick minded but shes 78 yrs old and gets faint sometimes. Getting up, going to bathroom, brushing her teeth, showering if she needs too(she can still do all these tasks herself but like I said she might need a helping hand) make her bed, breakfast, medicine, feed dog, let him out, feed cat, clean litter box(1 cat, 1 dog). 7. Also I need some light cleaning. Dusting, bathroom(1bathroom), vacuum, wash floors, her bed is made. Washing clothes sheets blankets(need be). Just keep her home neat and in order. Once a week will do for the cleaning part, besides her bed being made and dishes being done, Clean litter box, Those tasks need done everyday before you leave her home). There might be less or more but this is what we are looking for, for her helping hand person. Like I said she still moves fine and is able to walk talk shower go bathroom..etc. but she needs someone there to help her out because she does get faint due to her age. Thank you. About the care needs: The type of caregiver should be very sweet, nice helpful and just a friendly gentle person. My mother is super sweet taught school her whole life and shes a people person. The caregiver NEEDS to be able to be good with animals. My mother has 1 dog, 1 cat who are also old. The cat is not to old but the dog is. If my mother sees you mean to her animals that is it, she will firer that person on the spot! My mother lives on an orchard. She still attends farmers markets, Thursday and Saturday. The caregiver needs to like to bake or at least not mind maybe giving an extra hand if needed. My mother bakes pies brownies cookies and bread and sells at the farmers market. If the caregiver does not mind going with my mother to the markets that would be wonderful so she has someone to help her set up the table but not necessary! Another family member usually goes to farmers markets with my mother. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
