About who needs care: My brother Joe has dementia. He is very communicative and can seem "normal" but he very much lives in his own world where, for example, he has his own car and an apartment (but he really lives in a care facility). He can wander off and not know where he is. About the care needs: Joe has an injured knee and needs to go to physical therapy. To assure he stays safe, I need a caregiver to: 1) drive to his facility 2) ensure he has been toileted and has clean briefs on 3) load him and his walker 4) drive to his appointment 5) escort him to the appointment reception area 6) hand him off to his therapist 7) wait there until his appointment is over 8) escort him back to car 9) load him 10) return him to his facility. Joe loves to chat about anything! Services needed include: transportation.
