About who needs care: My grandpa (Robert) has advanced heart disease and bowel cancer, and has recently entered hospice. He also broke a femur earlier in the year and cannot walk. He needs help being transferred to/from wheelchair, help taking meds, and may or may not need changing. Help with showers. He is kind, talkative, likes listening to audiobooks and watching shows. My mom lives in the nearby town and can speak more to his daily needs, which can have some shifting. About the care needs: My grandpa lives with my grandma (also in her 80's) who is starting to have memory issues and my uncle, who has executive function issues. It takes patience and good boundaries to deal with my uncle at times (he's very talkative). My grandpa is fun and easy. He is just sick. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
