About the job
Mom is 102, lives in her own house and has a roommate who helps with technical things, schedules appt. and does some transportation for her. She is mentally alert, gets around fine with her walker, and is currently not in need of physical care. That will probably change given she has been diagnosed with cancer. Her housekeeper moved and we are looking for someone to come in and help. Initially with light housekeeping, companionship and meal prep, and possibly driving to the store or hair dresser if her roommate is not available. In order not to have to change caregivers down the road it would be preferable to have someone who has worked with individuals with cancer before. Ideally 5 hours a day, 12 - 5 pm, 7 days a week, could job share with someone else. Hours will most likely increase as her needs change.
