Our dad is a retired professor who enjoys thinking and speaking about the books that he taught over many years. He still reads, enjoys sitting and watching nature, and writes some poetry. He likes to talk about current events and often ties them back to the vault of knowledge that he can still access even with a diagnosis of early dementia. He is mobile but walks very slowly, stiffly, and with a cane. He lives with his wife who is in her late 80s and she needs some time to herself. We are initially requesting help 2 days/week for 2-3 hours between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The days and hours may increase over time. The types of outings we think he will enjoy are: book stores, park walks, museums, and the gym. It will help if you are a good listener, make conversation easily, and have a sense of humor. Message me with any questions. Lycia
