About who needs care: She has some mobility challenges. She was ill last week and has not fully recovered. Before she was ill, she was able to get up and around by herself with some use of a walker. Since she fell ill last week, we are use a gait belt to get her up from her chair and into the bathroom etc. An ideal day would be helping her take her medicine, filling up the pill box when necessary, helping her with breakfast and lunch, and a trip to the restroom. Her hobbies are reading and taking care of their animals. They have 3 cats; 1 very friendly, 1 standoffish and 1 that's more like a ghost, she is never seen during the day. lol About the care needs: A good fit would be someone with a gentle demeanor that can also be firm when put up against some resistance. I'd like them to be able to use the gait belt successfully and experienced with toileting. The ideal person would have a good sense of humor. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
