About who needs care: He's actually 26. Has neuronal migration disorder, which presents like Cerebral Palsey. Needs full assist with all ADLs, uses a wheelchair. Likes to go on walks at parks, play in the water in summer, go on drives, window shopping. He is a 2:1 so caregiver would work with mom mostly, dad or another caregiver occasionally. His daily activities are dependent upon his health and mood for the day. About the care needs: Positive attitude, self motivated, able to work and communicate with a non verbal individual who refuses to use communication tools consistently, good attendance required, physically strong enough to do transfers, able to cook healthy vegetarian meals Due to allergies and sensitivities in the home it is a scent free home and caregivers cannot smoke in any form or live with anyone who does. If caregiver had pets, separate clothing and shoes that are never near the pet are required. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
