About who needs care: - Diagnosed with terminal cancer, undergoing chemo. - Requires 5 hrs daily help for weeks with chemo (+ transport) and 4 hrs on "rest" weeks. - Weak and unsteady on feet, but mobile with walker - Does NOT require skilled nursing - Wakes up at approximately 10:00 am, goes to sleep between 2:00-3:00 am; takes naps in-between - Activities: reading, watching TV, extensive social life on phone - Food largely limited to soft items and smoothies About the care needs: They should have a good heart and enjoy long stories and they should, at least tolerate left politics and strong community involvement. . . . Also, Phil was a book dealer and loves books. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
