About who needs care: Jack no longer walks he needs help to get up and use the portable toilet with help. Needs help getting dressed and with any movement. We have converted the living room into his room, we have a hospital bed, wheel chairs, self standing recliner chair. Electric stairs chair and walk in bath. He feeds himself. He is very hard of hearing but we do have a hearing aid of sorts. Jack doesn't really have any hobbies, likes the news and animal shows the best. Likes to read the newspaper some. Jack is a world war veteran he is 99 yrs. Old. His day is mostly, up around 8 a.m. dressed washed up, a bath every other day and shave. Coffee and some breakfast. He doesn't eat much Sits in his chair likes his electric blanket. Likes coffee and orange juice. Doesn't like water so its a chore! He takes stool softener daily. Lunch around noon. Likes to snack, chips, carrots, berries. He is a grazer. But all day long he may only eat two cups of food. Sits around in his chair, naps some will have conversation if you sit with him, very hard of hearing. But will watch TV without sound. Dinner around 5-5:30 ish. Eats pretty much what ever really doesn't like a lot of meat, and must be well done. He gets medicine around 7:30 and ready for bed. Wash up, brush teeth, he still has his own. He wakes around 12:30 a.m. to be put on the pot, then again around 3ish. And sometimes more often. Jack struggles at night time. We believe he has sun downers.
