About who needs care: I am seeking a live-in companion and helper for my 91-year-old father. He has no underlying condition but struggles with loneliness, mild dementia, and short term memory problems. He is an artist and enjoys daily activities such as socializing, gardening, preserving food, and being read to. About the care needs: No special skills needed other than the physical ability to climb stairs, drive, and push a wheelchair should my dad need one someday. Right now he is mobile and independent with a cane. A good fit personality would be someone who is patient, familiar with mild dementia, and a problem solver. Position includes room & board + a salary + 30 hrs per week off. Private living space.
