About who needs care: My mom has cancer, and is currently in treatment. She is taking an oral therapy at home and making progress. However she can not be alone and needs help with the tasks mentioned. My father is 83 and not capable of being a sole, full time caregiver for her. My mom is active as she can be with a walker. She enjoys mat pilates and tai chi (at home), short walks, reading, using her computer for emails, and takes a few naps a day, She can move from point A to point B with her walker but needs help with many tasks and needs someone to prepare her meals. She can eat on her own. She can communicate easily as far as her needs and how she is feelng. About the care needs: A very warm and gentle personality. Someone who is very perceptive and a good communicator. Someone reliable. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
