About who needs care: Camille had a stroke that affected her memory and ability to find the words to advocate for herself. She is in the hospital and needs someone to stay with her over night to advocate with the hospital staff on her behalf while her husband goes home to take care of himself and their farm animals. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver is very gentle, kind, patient and compassionate with a strong ability to advocate for Camille and understand that she gets frustrated when she cannot express herself. She is sensitive to anger, dismissiveness and apathy. She responds well to patience and compassion. They must be highly responsible and take their job as her advocate seriously. It will be beneficial if they are able to sense what she is needing that she can't find the words to express. Being patient with her and asking questions to help her figure out what she needs will be very helpful. Services needed include: mobility assistance.
