About who needs care: My Grandfather, Cameron, is having a hard time loosing his independence. For years he has been very independence and loved getting out to see the world. He is starting to get weak legs and having a difficult time ambulating long distances. He is not able to lift his feet very high which makes him shuffle his feet. Cameron enjoys the outdoors. He enjoys hunting and fishing. While at home he enjoys watching the news or westerns. John Wayne is one of his favorites. Cameron usually sleeps in until about noon and then starts his day. He typically stays home unless he has doctors appointments. My aunt lives with him but works during the day. Ideally we are looking for someone to be with him from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There may be some days that may need to be extend to 7 p.m. About the care needs: Enjoys outdoors, likes westerns or old TV shows, like to watch the news, play chess, or cards. Someone that can prep meals and provide conversation. He may need assistance with washing his clothes, making sure he is in fresh clothes, and encouraging him to shower. He doesn't need assistance with showering just someone to make sure he is safe while showering while respecting his dignity. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
