About who needs care: No underlying conditions. Dad recently fell on the ice and broke two bones in his left hand and he is left handed. He has one meal/day delivered M-F, I have groceries delivered (frozen meals and vegetable items and fresh fruit, bread, etc) and has transportation thru Area Aging in Mansfield. But for some finite period of time (probably 6-8 weeks) he needs assistance in his small apartment. He likes to do adult coloring, but again, he is left handed. For instance, he can not peel an orange or slice strawberries right now. He is fine with getting cleaned up in the morning and having breakfast. Dressing is a bit of a challenge, but he is managing. He will need assistance showering (he has a walk in shower with grab bars). Needs assistance to do laundry (laundry on site at apartment building). He needs assistance to take a walk outside since he can't use the cane in his left hand. Also light housekeeping (i. e vacuuming, dishes). About the care needs: A caring person with an outgoing personality. Dad is very tidy, so someone who is neat. A non-smoker. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
