Seeking Part-time Senior Care Provider In Grand Rapids

About who needs care: My dad has Parkinson's with dementia. He often forgets where he is, where the bathroom is, etc. He needs to use a walker to get around, but he forgets. My mother is his main caregiver. We are looking for someone to stay with him twice a week so my mom can run errands and have a bit of time for herself. Dad mostly sits in his lift chair and watches tv/naps. He likes company, but he has a hard time conversing and thinking of the words he wants to say sometimes. He loves music and singing. He also loves Detroit Tiger baseball and his cats. About the care needs: Someone with patience is a must! Dad tends to repeat himself a lot and everything he does is very slow. Humor and positivity go a long way with my dad. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
