About who needs care: Has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and is suffering from denial and depression He is currently receiving monthly chemotherapy infusions He is a recovering addict who has been clean for over 35 years He was very active before his diagnosis; due to the side effects, he is no longer to do things he loves to do. Examples: driving, working out at the gym, working outside in the yard, etc. He prefers not seeing friends and family. About the care needs: An older black man who has experience working with a man who is struggling with denial and depression. Has the physical strength to help him get up if he falls, etc. Someone who may be willing to hang out with him; talking about man stuff, watching tv, going to barber shop, walking, etc. A person who would be willing to be gut level honest with him. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, and mobility assistance.
