About who needs care: My husband has mobility issues. He's unsteady when walking. He also has some issues with occasional incontinence. He may need help with using the bathroom for his bowel movements. He uses urinals to pee. He is able to feed himself and be alone for extended periods and has no dementia. He primarily likes to watch TV, scroll on his phone and use the computer. He sleeps in our family room. I am going to be gone from 4/22 -5/3 and need someone to come in for an hour or so every day when I'm gone to see if he needs help with anything. We have a rollator that he uses as his primary mobility aid. We also have a transport chair, fixed walker and cane. Don had back surgery a year ago and never fully recovered. He has pain when standing or moving around so he likes to lay down most of the time. I will have plenty of food and drinks available and he actually doesn't eat much. I have left him many times before and he managed well but he has gotten weaker when walking and I worry about him falling. I really only need someone who can check on him daily while I'm gone and help him walk to the bathroom and get any food items for him. Thank you! About the care needs: I just need someone who is friendly and doesn't mind giving personal hygiene care if necessary. I also need someone who can help him walk to the kitchen and bathroom. So being strong enough to help support a 200lb man is necessary. I'm 5'3" and 170 and can easily help him get up and stand. He knows to sit on the rollator when he feels weak or tired. Don can handle taking his own meds but I would like him to be reminded in case he forgets. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
