About the job
About who needs care: Tom had a brain tumor (meningioma) which resulted in a brain bleed following the tumor resection. He has battled set back after set back over the past 10 months. He is verbal and clear, but, he cannot move his left side and minimal movements elsewhere. He is unable to hear on the right due to the surgery. He is a 2 person turn. We need someone to assist a family member with cleaning, turning and repositioning. This would be helpful. Tom is a pleasant and likeable man. He has a g-tube for feeds which the family manages and attends to. About the care needs: Friendly, easy going and willing to help with moving Tom. general hygiene skills, Hoyer lift transfers would be helpful but not required. Tom likes family and friends, baseball and Nascar. He has been married for over 41 years. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
