About who needs care: You'll be caring for both of my parents. They are both 82 years old. My mom has Alzheimer's stage 6. My father just needs breakfast and lunch made for him. He's mainly in his bedroom all day watching TV. My mom is total care and needs to be awaken, taken out of bed, washed up either in the shower or in her bed. She's dead weight but us daughters ensure she's out of bed, taken to the bathroom every 2 hours so that she is not soaked in her urine. She's starting to be non-verbal. She had to be fed with all her meals pureed. We'll have lunch ready for her so all you have to do is hear it up. If you're comfortable with giving meds and insulin they do need them for breakfast time. We're currently looking for April 9th and April 10th. About the care needs: Fun and outgoing, my dad is very talkative and just likes to have someone there to talk to if he's out of his room. If you're comfortable assisting with someone who is fragile and dead weight and have patience feeding my mom. It takes her a while to chew and swallow as she's starting to have difficulty swallow. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
