Hi . I am looking for respite care for my 90-year-old mom. She has some mobility issues- uses a walker, and has some memory issues, dementia | guess. She experienced nursing care (3 weeks) after a fall a few months ago and was completely miserable. So, the decision was made to try to keep her in her home of 25 years, where she is most content. She takes meds in the morning and uses a bedside potty at night. My sister and myself are caring for her now, with one of us visiting every day, sometimes twice a day depending - to help her with meals (she no longer cooks, but gets meals on wheels, or we bring her food) We also empty the potty, make her bed, help her wash up (when she's agreeable!), and do laundry and light cleaning. She has no pets, house is clean and comfortable, and we have Ring cameras. We are looking for help 2-3 days a week, with maybe more for vacations if possible. Full disclosure: She can be a little stubborn and even resistant to helping her with some things. We need someone who is gentle, but cleverly persuasive. Someone who will be reliable, and willing to work with us. Please let me know if you are interested and available. Thank you!!
