About who needs care: Tom has been in the hospital without physical activity for 58 days. Both intensive care and standard hospital. He was moved to Center on November 11. He will be discharged from there to a leased home/apartment. He will need 24/7 companionship for at least a few weeks. He is getting stronger and better every day. As he gets better, we will need the nurse less and less. About the care needs: Tom enjoys technology, exercise, eating right, music, animation, and science fiction as well as history. He likes to help others, and this is his first time being helped. He is not a large person but usually in great shape. I would estimate his body weight to be maybe 130. He will need a person who can help him with some movement bed to chair, and other types of physical help. He will help that person market themselves. He is a very successful businessperson. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
