Companion Care Needed For My Loved One In New York

For my brother with dementia and related disabilities. Single no children. Has friends but no family in the area. He is recently quitting smoking, an alcoholic 50 years, now in early recovery. He has poor nutrition, is frail and prone to falling. He wants an aide for companionship. We seek person experienced with expressive aphasia, ambulation, help with tech, grocery shop with him, going for walks, light meals, has taken his pills. Looking for someone caring and patient, with calm and flexible temperament, who respects autonomy and choices. Expecting someone who respects and understands boundaries and confidentiality. No special skills. Ideal is sober male, LGBTQ+ friendly, with same/similar interests, including live + recorded choral music, light opera. He plays Backgammon; on TV, golf, local news and Jeopardy.
