About who needs care: He is recovering from a bone marrow transplant and residing in Hope Lodge. He has dialysis 3 times a week and may need assistance with transportation based on dialysis schedule. Due to kidney failure from cancer, he requires a diet with limited fluids, salt, and potassium. Ideally, a visiting nurse can help take him to appointments, grocery shop, take him on walks, and keep him company on dialysis days. About the care needs: It would be ideal to have a nurse that speaks Telugu, but English is also fine. Ideally the nurse will also have a car to help with transportation to appointments for someone that is immunocompromised. We are looking for someone who is positive and patient to encourage him to eat and exercise during recovery. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
