About who needs care: Peter is 79 years old. He is a very sweet and social type of guy. He is in great shape for his age- working out doing 100 sit ups and push ups to start his day. He is insanely clean and tidy. He is independent in most areas of his life- he cleans, does laundry, takes care of all his own appointments. He loves to golf, spend time at his country club, and see friends. However, he lost his wife of over 55 years one year ago, making life a little more stressful. Where Peter needs some help is monitoring and driving for his day to day tasks. He has something called temporal lobe epilepsy. His epilepsy does not cause him to have full unconscious seizures but they cause focal seizures where his speech, memory, and hand motions are affected. Often they only last a couple of seconds but can cause confusion for a little after, therefor affecting some of his day to day independence. Most of his days are exactly the same. He loves structure and a schedule. About the care needs: Patient, easy going, understanding, fun to talk to, a social personality, able to drive, cook occasionally a very simple meal, organized, and communicative. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
