About who needs care: Hi! My lovely Jamaican grandmother needs a caregiver who can supply her with home assistance when her granddaughter is unavailable. She is a diabetic woman who needs bed assistance, food assistance and walking assistance. She enjoys listening to audiobooks since she in blind. As the weather is getting warmer she also likes going outside. She loves Jamaican food and loves to cook, please ask her for her recipes in order to cook her meals for her how she likes it. She goes to dialysis twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. You will need to use a hoya lift (training available). She requires bed turning and diaper care multiple times throughout the day to keep her comfortable. She receives medication in the morning and the night. About the care needs: The caregiver needs to be able to keep my grandmother comfortable. Able to cook for her, attend her, spend time with her exercising and going outside, engaging with her. They need to be able to choose good enrichment for my grandma daily. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
