Seeking Full-time Senior Care Provider In Jackson Heights

About who needs care: My mom, Helena, was recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and she has gone downhill very quickly. We promised her she never has to go into inpatient care and we want to honor that promise. She is and was an artist, and she still loves art in all forms. She also loves all kinds of food, and is always up for an adventure, even now. About the care needs: We want someone down to earth, creative and fun with an ability to engage with her about her interests. My mom has been a caretaker all her life, and she is proud of this, so we need someone that will make her feel she is still capable of doing things on her own, without babying her. Person should specialized in both dementia care and working with people with chronic pain (my mom has had a degenerative condition for 20 years and is in severe pain which a caregiver should be able to her manage I think mom would love to have someone who loves art, travel and/or reading. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
