Companion Care Needed For My Father In Horseheads

About who needs care: My half sister is the primary caregiver for my Dad, but she is going out of town for a couple weeks at the end of this month so I'm helping her find care for Dad. He lives alone but is struggling with mobility and cognition and can't drive (he's undergoing treatment for lung cancer). He mostly needs a companion to come sit with him, drive him to the store and on errands, keep him company, etc. About the care needs: His cognition is slipping and he can be a little ornery/preachy, so patience is important. Also, an ability/willingness to listen and just be with him will be helpful. His mobility is not great, so sometimes he can't even walk around the stores a lot. He'll just want company or to take drives around. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
