About who needs care: Mom has several medical issues: a broken hip two years ago, severe anemia, four fractured and compressed vertebrae, IBS issues, and one foot requiring wound care monitoring. She is not diabetic, uses a catheter and is hard of hearing. Mobility is an issue and she is going through a pain management assessment in the hospital. Mom loves everything about gardening and has lost the ability to do this in the last two years or so. She loves to read but has been unable to do this because of failing eyesight. A typical day would include getting Mom up, dressed, bathed and fed. Breakfast and lunch preparation is necessary. Getti g her prepared for bed is also needed.
