About the job
About who needs care: Quadriplegic and nonverbal. Spends most of her time in bed or watching television in her wheelchair. Showers once a week and needs to be fed and changed regularly. About the care needs: Attentive; because she can't speak, you need to be careful about hurting her or making her uncomfortable because she won't be able to advocate for herself. Must be able to lift her (about 130-140 pounds) from wheelchair to bed and vice versa, as well as from wheelchair to shower chair. Must know how to use a feeding tube (for fluids and medication). Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
