About who needs care: My Mom has dementia and trouble with her legs. She also has COPD and arthritis. She needs help showering. My son and I live with her and take care of her needs. As men, however, we are unable to tend to her showering habits. My Mom watches TV all day. She usually only leaves the house for medical appointments or the occasional family gathering. About the care needs: A caregiver for my mom would have to be skilled in caring for dementia patients. The caregiver must be a female. She must be extremely patient. She must be able to directly assist my mom with showering. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
